Sonnenberg Gardens Mansion

On an enormous and beautiful 50-acre estate in Canandaigua, NY lies Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion. Built in 1887, this mansion is now publicly owned as a state historic park and you can take a tour of it and it’s beautiful gardens for a modest fee.

Syracuse Chinese Lantern Festival

From April 14 – June 24, 2017 in Syracuse, NY was the first Chinese Lantern Festival, and I had the opportunity to view the amazing lights and colors of the Chinese lanterns. Below was my favorite, a giant dragon.

National Mall, Washington D.C

April is a fantastic time to visit the National Mall in Washington, D.C because the tulips at the Floral Library are in full bloom! Wormsloe State Park

Wormsloe State Park is a historic site just outside of Savannah, Georgia. Long ago, the many acres of this site used to be a farming plantation. Today much of the site has been reclaimed by nature, and it’s a beautiful place to go for a hike! Spanish moss lines the many roadways in the state...
